The La Grande Country Club was established around 1928 and is a private club with a clubhouse, nine hole golf course, two tennis courts, driving range and two chipping/putting practice greens.

The Golfing facilities are managed by a PGA golf professional. Private and group lessons are available as well as a full line of golfing merchandise.

The clubhouse contains a full service beverage bar with snacks/sandwiches. The facility also contains a large meeting/dining area with a full kitchen. This facility is rentable to the public as well as members. (541 963-4241) Click on "Facility" above for details.

The club hosts many events throughout the calendar year - i.e. Northeast Oregon Junior Golf Tournaments, The Ladies Masters Golf Tournament, Couples-Fairway Frolics, The La Grande Golf Tournament, Tuesday Nights Couples Golf, Thursday Nights Men's Golf League, The Two-Man Best Ball Golf Tournament, The LGCC Amateur by McDonalds Tournament, as well as many social events for members.

In 2008, the club re-introduced a very active JUNIORS program. The purpose of this program is to promote golf for ALL kids in La Grande between the ages of 6-17. (See Jrs-Srs tab for more details.)

New Clubhouse Hours - Summer

All week - 7 am - 8 pm

Upper Clubhouse will stay open later on evenings that events are scheduled or shorter when just nobody is around. Weather can also dictate varying hours! If you have any questions about whether the club is open or not, simply call before you come out - 963-4241.

NOTE: Course play may start at sunrise, but remember to not interfere with the Grounds Crew as they "have the course" until 7 a.m.!!!!!!

We will have Association member players from La Grande, Union, Enterprise, Baker City, Pendleton and Echo visiting our club on this day. It will be the fourth event on their seven event calendar. The Ladies Association will be serving lunch for them after play. If you happen to be out to the club that day, please give them a warm welcome to LGCC.

Cart Users - PLEASE strictly observe the "NO CARTS" signs. They are put there to help lessen compaction and eliminate ruts in front of the greens!! So again, PLEASE observe!!!

TAKE PRIDE IN "YOUR' COURSE

"ALWAYS" FIX YOUR DIVOT WITH EITHER SAND/SEED OR REPLACE IF GROUND IS MOIST.

ON THE GREENS, REPAIR YOUR BALL MARK AND AT LEAST ONE OTHER.

IF WE ALL DO THIS WHEN PLAYING, YOU AND THE COURSE WILL BE REWARDED!!!!

Don't forget the dress code!!

Basically, shirts/blouses must have either a mock turtle or collar - No Tees' All shirts must have sleeves - no tank tops.

Shorts must be golf or walking shorts, not gym or nylon shorts.

If you have any questions, the month of May is the time to ask as this will be the grace period and after that, you will be asked to change your attire before playing golf. The board has taken this step to ensure that everyone wears appropriate golf attire while at the club.
